March was my birthday month. Therefore, I decided to just read whatever I wanted and whatever I felt like when the mood struck me! For my original March TBR, I only read a few of the books I listed 🤭 The mood reading was in full effect, I fear.
For March, I noticed I veered towards lots of ebooks and audiobooks to read while doing other things. Sometimes, I need to just close my eyes and let the storytelling take me away into another dimension, hence audiobooks. Sometimes, the kitchen dishes are piling up way too much due to my obsession with reading and so I must blast an audiobook while doing chores 😅
Nevertheless, it’s always fun getting immersed into these stories and trying new things; when the premise of a story randomly catches your attention and you have to jump on it immediately. I didn’t anticipate that I would read a book taking place during a satirical reality dating show with a giant sasquatch lurking in the shadows. But alas, I read it and I had a blast.
So on that fun note, let’s finally talk about my March Stats:
- Pages Read: ~3,735
- Average pages per book: ~374
- Average rating: 3.9 stars
- Genre Breakdown:

Out of the 8 books I placed on my original March TBR, I read only 3 of them 😬 However, I read MORE than 8 books overall; I read 10! Can we get some applause? Also, I’m not surprised that during my self-proclaimed “Literary Kitten Month”, half of the books I read were mystery/thriller 🙈 It was my month, after all.

There you have it! I consider March to be a very successful month for me. Maybe my favorite of 2024 so far? I felt really in my element with these books. I discovered I actually really enjoy Fantasy with either cozy elements or dark/mystery elements.
I have a few new favorites from this month alone. Even the books I didn’t rate as high I still had quite the experience with. I am truly ecstatic! Keep an eye out for my April TBR post… which I will probably follow this time? We’ll see 😉
