Welcome to my cozy kitty condo! Thanks for dropping by. I’m Kat aka Literary Kitten and I’m 26 years old from the USA. I started this blog because I wanted somewhere to organize my chaotic thoughts regarding all the different books I read. I also thought maybe other people could relate to a late-start reading journey.
For a long time, books were just for school. I always enjoyed them but my love for reading had never been properly ignited. UNTIL ONE DAY… I was helping my parents organize their book collection and stumbled upon some very vintage, interesting looking Agatha Christie novels. It was the cream of the crop, the Christie jackpot. There were very few Christie books my parents did NOT have in their possession. It was then, a few years ago, that my love for reading came out of the hidden place burrowed deep within me.
I binged many Agatha Christie books such as And Then There Were None, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, and The Murder on the Orient Express. I had no clue books could be so… fun.
So after going down the classic murder-mystery rabbit hole, I wanted more. I started researching what other people were reading and thought, “Wow, there are so many books I missed reading my whole life.” I realized I’m a literary kitten! My reading journey is just beginning, fresh, young. I’m so excited to catch up with other readers. I want you to know this is a safe place for you to discover your reading passions; to be a brand new reader.
Going forward on my reading journey, I’ll be bringing you along with me. I’ll be posting my bookish thoughts, book reviews, lists, goals, and anything else book related.
