My most anticipated reads for 2024 will include new releases, 2023 releases, and releases from any year in the past! Classics, modern classics, you name it. The whole point here is: I have a love for reading but I am so behind. I am a literary… kitten! There are so many books I have my eye on and up until the last couple years, I never had time or motivation to read. So for 2024… let’s talk about the reads I am most looking forward to, to help me evolve into a literary cat.
In 2023, I read around 55 books. In comparison to other avid readers, this number could be considered to be on the smaller side. But for me… this is a huge step in my reading journey. As someone who hadn’t read consistently for years, I can’t believe I read this number of books in 2023. This number gives me hope for 2024; I believe I can expand my reading goal annually.
So drum roll… the 2024 reading goal will be… 75 books! If I can do 55 in a year where my reading numbers per month were a bit spotty and inconsistent… I fully believe I can reach 75 this year, now that I’ve got a hold of my bearings. Keep in mind, I would maybe consider myself to be a “mood reader”. I struggle to read books for which I am not in the right headspace. Therefore, to give myself some wiggle room, I’m going to list 30 and leave the others up to spontaneity. Without further ado, here are the 30 books I am most excited to read in 2024.
